Jane Eyre
I finally finished Jane Eyre yesterday! Took me a long six days, as expected. This is my first? classical literature I have read and finished, and I actually read it out of my own interest. Overall, it was really good. I had to read it slowly so I can take in each and every word because if I read too fast I might not to be understand the language. It was pretty easy to catch up on but you still have to read it very carefully to comprehend the text. That having said, I LOVED the first quarter of the book when Jane was a child, she is such a strong female character throughout the series like I adored this woman. I have this book marked up in my kindle (that's when you know it's that good lmao) I can see why the education system would want to cover classic literature because it contains many themes that you rarely see in a book today. I am glad that I read this book at this age, because I know if I was forced to read in in my younger years in school, I, like any other kid, would also have despised it.
I most likely will continue to read some classical literature in the future, but I am not sure if I would be willing to read Pride & Prejudice because I have heard about it too many times that I'm tired of it (don't hate me plz) I MIGHT read it, since I have Wuthering Heights and the Handmaid's Tale on my to-read list. Maybe after I read a few more classic lits, I will finally let myself in on P&P.

I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will, which I will exert to leave you.
