Hello
Hey, it's been a while since I posted. Or should I say 3 months since I posted an update. Over these past 3 months summer break was going through, where I officially ended my freshmen year of college in May, and starting my sophomore year in August. It really is surprising how time goes by so fast without you noticing. In a blink of an eye, a year ends, and another starts. It is true when they say always make the most of your time, time is such a fleeting thing.
Let's skip the the part where I become nonsensical, and start reviewing my month in China! I should have wrote a post about this ever since I came back, but not surprisingly, I didn't!
Me and my parents went to Guangzhou first to settle in and and visit my family residing there. Going back to their home was so nostalgic, I remember going in there 3 years ago and exploring the city with my cousin. Sadly, I only got to see him once at night where all had dinner together because he still had school where it is located outside of the city. It was shocking to see him all grown up and became so tall! As the older sister/cousin, I had trouble maintaining my composure not to make remarks on how short he used to be!
   Look at his tall ass. Still awkward af

Me and my parents went to make most of our time there, where we visited different cities and tried out numerous of different food. We visited (not in particular order) Guangzhou广州,ChongQin重庆, Three Gorges长江三峡 on a cruise for 3 days, WuChang武昌, WuHan武汉 , Nanjing南京, climbed Huangshan黄山,Shanghai上海,Hangzhou 杭州,ChangSha长沙, Hong Kong香港, ZhanJiang湛江, then back to Guangzhou广州 as our last stop. (A total of 11 cities! Plus climbing up a mountain for 2 days!!! I am amazed by our own stamina.) We spent about 3-4 days in each city, except for Guangzhou where we stayed for 1 week until we left. The food was GREAT. It was so much fun seeing the difference in life compared to America, and I gotta admit China is much more advanced then the States. And the amount of people was really overwhelming. Personal space really does not exist in China, you will get it when you experience rush hour and busy nights on the subways.

Time for some pics! These are gonna be all over the place lol, and I took about like over 600 photos, but deleted like half of it lmao. My phone ran out of space so I had to download dropbox to store them ;-;

                                            The famous and mesmerizing West Lake西湖 of HangZhou

                                              The night scenery in Shanghai was absolutely beautiful.
                                             The view I saw will definitely be embedded into my memory.

                                            The scenic view on HuangShan mountain that looks
                                   like a monkey overlooking HuangShan. Thought that was so cool.

                                  Woke up at 3AM to hike up to the last part that is the very peak of the                                                mountain to watch the sunrise. Worth every moment.

                                         Can't tell if smiling or just sweating profusely from hours of hiking

                                         Aftermath of me running away from mosquitos.

HuangShan mountain has got be one of every hiker's goal, because it is insane, and for a beginner like me, I survived man. Started climbing to the top at 8AM until 9PM. It took that long. We stayed at a hotel 2 hours away from the peak of the mountain and spent the whole day next day climbing back down. But in the end, I feel like this challenging hiking trip was super fun and totally worthwhile. I didn't even ride a single cablecar to the top or bottom!! I was so proud of myself, literally traveled up and down of the mountain on FOOT. Got some great exercise and I have to say, hiking is fun! I actually climbed 2 mountains in China, it was a smaller mountain near HuangShan, but that was also freaking exhausting. Hiking could be tiring, but I could definitely see this as a hobby.

Trivia: the tour guide that guided us on the path to the peak of the mountain (there are many paths to the peak on HuangShan, but each one goes through different sceneries.) figured out I am from America lol. I think he figured it out by how I don't like crowded places, every time he explains a landscape, I would always sneak away from the crowd lol. Have to say, pretty perspective tour guide, you deserve your job.

And that'll be it of part one!!! Maybe more pics in another post, maybe never since I'll forget, who knows. China is truly an amazing place to travel, the culture, landscapes, history, are all such worthwhile explorations. Whenever people think of China they only think of pollution. But ironically, when you go to China, the people there don't give a single fuck about pollution. They go on about their lives like normal human beings. And did you know China took poverty away more than any other country? That is the reason why China is booming. It is definitely an amazing country, and I am proud to be Chinese and able to experience the advancements made toward the country. I am definitely curious to see how China would become 10 years from now, they will definitely change more than ever in the future.
