First Deaf Event Today I went to my first deaf event, and it was just a little meeting table at Starbucks. The older people there were very warm and welcoming, but I was the retarded one there lmao. The older man was signing so fast, and I learned that some of the signs have either changed or have different meanings, but I was like the worst one there at signing. I forgot many of the signs because I was so nervous, and I've become ambitious to learn more just so that I can have a normal paced conversations with deaf & hard-of-hearing people.
